Guild Log & Timber was founded by JD Knight, a second generation log home contractor with over 25 years in the trade. This isn't a business he picked up — it's the family trade. What started as working alongside his father grew into one of the most respected log home operations in Texas. From full custom builds to structural rot repair, JD has done every phase of the work firsthand.
The crew that stands behind Guild Log & Timber has been built over decades. Ricardo Gil has been JD's partner for over 20 years — two decades of precision work on job sites across the state. Ian Knight, JD's son, represents the third generation of the trade. The broader team has been intact for years. Every member has earned their position through skill and reliability. That kind of continuity produces a standard of work that speaks for itself.
